Doug is a graduate of the University of Florida and has been a licensed Property and Casualty and Life Insurance agent since 1979. He is a past-chairman of the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents. Doug has earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations. In 2004, he completed eight years as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, serving Clay, Flagler, St. Johns, and Volusia Counties. He is a retired lieutenant colonel, having served in the US Army and the Florida Army National Guard for 25 years. Doug is a trustee of the University of Florida’s Whitney Laboratory Board, and UF Historic St. Augustine. He has worked with a number of local public service organizations, including the St. Johns County Education Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Historic St. Augustine, the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, the Flagler Hospital Board of Trustees, and the United Way of St. Johns County. He is an Elder at Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Chris has been an executive in the insurance intermediary industry for over 23 years, Mr. Scavuzzo presided over two separate retail offices for the Nation’s 6th largest insurance intermediary. He was responsible for managing day to operations, servicing and selling commercial insurance to private, not for profit, and public-sector clients. In addition to managing the Retail Office Operations, Mr. Scavuzzo was actively involved with the United Way of Hernando County, The Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Brooksville, YMCA of the Suncoast, Eckerd Youth Alternatives Brooksville, and Hernando County Crime Stoppers. Chris has been married to his wife Elizabeth for 27 years and they have two daughters together.

Ralph is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration and has been employed with the Agency since 1988. He is a Past-Chairman of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the Economic Development Council of the Chamber. He is a Past President of the St. Augustine Sunrise Rotary Club. Ralph is currently part of the St. Johns County Citizens Flood Mitigation Advisory Committee. He has been a Past president of the Pedro Menendez Athletic Booster Club and he is currently on the board of directors and was Past President of the St. Johns County Education Foundation (INK!). Ralph is a Certified Floodplain Manager and has previously held a Series 6 Securities License as well as the Certified Insurance Counselor designation. Ralph and his wife Jane have 3 children.

Herbie Wiles (1927-2019)

Herbie Wiles was an exceptional father, grandfather, Navy Veteran of WWII, lifetime resident of St. Augustine, and CEO of Herbie Wiles Insurance. A 1952 graduate of Florida State University, he obtained his BA in business and, with his mind set on an insurance career, went to work with his father as a State Farm agent. In 1961 he founded Herbie Wiles Insurance. Over the years, Herbie grew his independent insurance group, and now his son, Doug, manages the daily operations. Herbie maintained an office at the agency and helped guide the business until his passing in 2019. He was an active member of the community, dedicating his time to the St. Augustine Historical Society, Flagler Hospital Advisory Board, Betty Griffin House, and the Presidents Council of Flagler College.
